As respected industry and thought leaders, cash handling experts Volumatic spend all day, every day championing cash.
Leading innovation in cash handling for over 50 years, Volumatic understands the flexibility and resilience of cash and understands how important it remains to millions of people across the globe, helping both businesses and consumers.
In addition to advocating cash itself, Volumatic have always supported other organisations and charities that support and promote cash usage and help facilitate access to cash, so we decided to throw the spotlight onto some of these ‘cash heroes,’ operating across the world, who stand up for cash and our right to use it and access it, whatever our circumstances:

Bankomat AB
Bankomat AB, is the leading ATM operator in Sweden, operating over 60% of their cash machines. Sweden has been one of the world’s least cash-dependent countries for a while, but recently, there has been something of a government U-turn, with policies being introduced that aim to safeguard the infrastructure and future availability of cash throughout Sweden.
Bankomat AB has been at the forefront of these changes by developing an integrated cash logistics system that brings CiT services in-house for the first time in over a decade. This has enhanced the security of cash transportation and improved the reliability, operational control and efficiency of their service. By insourcing cash logistics, Bankomat AB have reduced costs, ensuring sustainable cash management, which is crucial for maintaining cash access across Sweden.
A representative from Bankomat AB said, “Our new in-house cash logistics operation represents a major step toward ensuring cash remains accessible and secure across Sweden. By controlling the entire cash supply chain, we enhance efficiency and sustainability, supporting financial inclusion and the smooth functioning of cash services.”
