Over 50 Years of Volumatic History
From our humble beginnings in 1972 as a security products provider to UK retailers, Volumatic has grown and developed over the years to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of intelligent cash handling equipment. We work with our customers in retail, leisure and banking across the globe and as technology has changed, our products have evolved to meet the ever-growing needs of our customers. 1972
Volumatic Ltd was incorporated.

1982
Volumatic purchased by Halma PLC.

1996
Volumatic acquired Omal Ltd, bringing a range of count-by-weight products into our portfolio.

2004
Volumatic launched the CountEasy money counting scale.

2007
Volumatic partnered with Gemsys Money Handling Systems Inc., a Canada-based company, to enhance their presence in the North American market, particularly in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector.

2008
Volumatic launched the CounterCache intelligent (CCi).

2009
Over 25,000 Volumatic CountEasy devices now sold.

2010
Over 1 million Volumatic CounterCache devices now sold.

2011
The Volumatic CCi received the Queen’s Award for Innovation.
Wilko became the first major retailer to install the CCi solution across their entire estate.

2012
Management buyout from Halma PLC took place, supported by NVM Private Equity.

2013
UK grocery store Morrisons completed their installation of 11,500 CCi cash handling devices across their entire estate.

2014
The CountEasy TS was launched by Volumatic - the world’s first touchscreen cash counting scale.
NBC Universal Studios implemented Volumatic's CounterCache intelligent (CCi) solution to enhance their cash management processes at their theme park.
Krystal Adams joins Volumatic as VP of Sales for North America.

2015
Volumatic sold our 10 millionth TruPouch - meaning over £25 billion had been processed through our CCi solution.

2016
Over 2,000 cash counting machines sold to the UK banking sector as the new polymer £5 note is launched.
CCi rollout began for The Ray Carmack Show (Houston Rodeo) across North America.

2017
Volumatic won the award for the ‘Most Innovative In-Store Solution’ for the CCi at the Retail Fraud Awards in the UK.

2018
Volumatic installed CCi devices into 3,300 Tesco Express stores.

2019
Volumatic was recognised in The Parliamentary Review as a best practice organisation in the UK private retail sector.
Volumatic achieved one million CCi sales with U.S. partners Gemsys.
Volumatic appointed customer service partners ERC to help support U.S. customers.

2020
Volumatic installed 6,700 CCi devices in 2,500 Co-op stores.

2021
Volumatic was awarded an Investors in People (IIP) Silver Accreditation.
40,000 CCi devices now sold worldwide.
Volumatic partnered with DTS Connex to integrate their cash handling solutions with DTS Connex's online cash-management software tools, aiming to provide a comprehensive, traceable solution from point-of-sale to bank for their customers.

2022
Volumatic launched the second-generation CountEasy money counting scale.
Volumatic celebrated its 50th Anniversary with an employee party at their HQ and released a ‘50 years of Volumatic’ video.
Volumatic joined forces with Cash Solutions in the U.S.

2023
Volumatic launched their new Secure Cash Trolley, working with retail giant Tesco to produce a "game-changing" trolley with unique speed-locking wheels.
