FavTrip

FavTrip is a fuel retailer with a big difference – they pride themselves as being a “fun and edgy brand with attitude!” They provide a one-stop shop for food, gas and novelty items. Established in 2011, and with 12 locations across the Kansas City area, FavTrip strive to provide exceptional service and a superior shopping experience for their customers.

The FavTrip team were frustrated at the amount of time spent on manually counting their cash takings each day, and needed to find an innovative solution to make them more efficient – step forward Volumatic!

The Challenge

FavTrip were looking for a cash handling solution that would minimise the time they spent counting cash every day. With three till points in every FavTrip store, counting by hand was taking over an hour every day in each of their stores, and because of the length of time manual counting took, it was often interrupted by customers who needed to be served, making it an even longer job and leading to frequent micounts and errors.

The Solution

FavTrip’s founder and President, Babir Sultan attended the NACS Show (National Association of Convenience Stores) in 2019 and met the Volumatic sales team at their stand, who introduced him to our CountEasy range of cash counting scales. He was shown the full range of options – our basic CountEasy scales, our advanced CountEasy TS and the IP versions of both of these – with integrated printers.

Impressed with what he saw and how easy they were to use when the devices were demonstrated to him, he was put in touch with one of Volumatic’s U.S. distributors and purchased both the CountEasy and CountEasy TS cash counting scales for 10 of the FavTrip stores.
