The Challenge
We spoke with Malcom Mailer, owner of six Subway franchises about the challenges that he had encountered with his current process. Traditionally, staff skimmed small amounts of cash regularly to reduce the temptation for theft from the till drawer. Taking up valuable operators time and potentially leading to skims being misplaced. With further time being taken to investigate discrepencies. Other challenges that were identified were banking inaccuracies and the acceptance of forgeries, the cost of which each store to absorb.
The Solution
After a successful trial in the UK, Subway were able to quickly identify that the CCi eliminated many of their existing challenges. The CCi solution was able to simplify their current banking processes, reducing labor costs and enabling them to spend more time serving their customers. The CCi also meant that each Subway store had no forgeries and reconciling tills had gone from taking an hour to just 10 minutes.
The Outcome
Having successfully operated the CCi solution for over a year, it has now been has been integrated into numerous other Subway stores within the UK. CCi in Subway has processed hundreds of thousands of pounds in cash to date without a single error. CCi has revolutionished the cash handling process at our Subway stores.
