Skills and experience: Colin has been with Volumatic since 2006 and led the successful MBO in March 2012.  He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG and is a finance graduate of Cardiff University.  Prior to joining Volumatic Colin held  a number of financial roles within Halma plc, Volumatic’s former owner.

James is a graduate in Law from Newcastle University and is currently completing an MBA at Warwick Business School. He joined the business in early 2007, having previously held a number of commercial roles in Pepsico, Cable & Wireless, Express Engineering, and Halma plc.

Title: Technical Director

Duncan is a Chartered Engineer having graduated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Kings College, London. Prior to joining Volumatic he worked for Marconi Research Laboratories, Gent Fire Alarms and then Modern Alarms in various design and engineering management roles.

Name: Juliette Summerfield
Title: Finance and Operations Director
Appointment: May 1997

Juliette qualified as a chartered accountant after graduating in Modern Languages and Linguistics (French and Spanish) from the University of Essex. Before joining Volumatic she held a head office role in David S Smith Packaging.


Volumatic holds the following accreditations under the scope of the design, assembly, sales and repair of cash handling equipment:

Certificate No:  FM 80583 and operates a Quality Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.

Certificate No:  EMS 540381 and operates an Environmental Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.

Certificate No:  OHS 540382 and operates an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that complies with the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
